I’m a UX/UI designer based in Prague, Czech Republic, with a background in fine arts. My experience in painting fuels a creative mindset and a deep appreciation for visual harmony, which I channel into designing clean, purposeful, and intuitive digital experiences that solve real user problems.
Outside the studio—whether I’m working on design or artistic projects—you’ll often find me skating, hiking, practicing yoga, reading, traveling, or exploring the beauty of nature and the remnants of ancient civilizations.
Where Art Meets Psychology: The Origins of My Design Thinking
Driven by a lifelong creative mindset and passion for art, I pursued painting at two universities in the Netherlands. Living abroad and immersing myself in the country’s vibrant cultural diversity was an eye-opening experience. It gave me the opportunity to connect with people from around the world and broadened my perspective both personally and creatively.
Looking back, I especially value the strong theoretical foundation I gained during my master’s studies. Exploring topics like Gestalt psychology and visual perception helped me develop a deeper understanding of how design influences human behavior and decision-making—insights that continue to shape my approach to user-centered design today.

A Creative Path to UX Design: From Art to Agile Teams
During my studies, I began exploring digital media as a form of personal artistic expression. This growing enthusiasm for digital interfaces sparked my curiosity about how websites are built and function. I started learning HTML and CSS, eventually introducing myself to basic JavaScript—and soon discovered a genuine passion for the world of technology.
This led to my first role in tech, where I joined an Agile team in Prague as a software tester. The experience sharpened my attention to detail, strengthened my analytical thinking, and gave me a solid foundation in usability testing. More importantly, I had the opportunity to observe the critical impact of UX design on a product’s overall success. One particular project lacked UX input during its early stages, resulting in a confusing and unintuitive interface. Users struggled to navigate it, and the poorly defined foundation led to a high number of bugs and increased workload for both testers and developers. This experience showed me firsthand how thoughtful design decisions early in the process can reduce friction, save resources, and ultimately determine whether users adopt a product.
While I appreciated the analytical nature of software testing, I quickly realized that the role limited my ability to influence the final product. I could identify issues and trace their origins, but I wasn't in a position to suggest or implement design improvements. Interestingly, it was my teammates who first pointed out that I had a strong eye for detail and a knack for spotting design inconsistencies that others had overlooked—issues that often led to user confusion. Their encouragement planted the seed for my transition into UX design.
UX design turned out to be a natural fit—a space where I could combine my artistic sensibility, technical curiosity, and problem-solving mindset. It allows me to contribute more directly to shaping meaningful, user-centered experiences.
Throughout this journey, I also discovered how much I enjoy working in collaborative environments, where shared goals and mutual support drive successful outcomes. I believe that great products are created when cross-functional teams work closely together with a shared vision and a strong foundation in design thinking.
